Journalistic reports revealed the content of what England national team star Jude Bellingham said to the referee after the end of their match against Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which concluded last Sunday.

Jude Bellingham expressed his anger at the refereeing decisions in the Argentina-England match, officiated by the American of Moroccan origin, Ismail El-Fath.

The English newspaper "The Sun" reported that footage from referee Ismail El-Fath's camera showed Jude Bellingham approaching the referee after the final whistle.
Bellingham said to the referee, according to what was published: "Some decisions were shocking, but in any case, good luck," before leaving while still feeling a state of anger, not only because of the refereeing but because Argentina turned the tables on them.
England players felt frustrated more than once during the match due to the refereeing decisions in some incidents, such as what happened with Enzo Fernandez and his collision with Elliot Anderson, where many believed the Argentine player deserved to be sent off.
