Mohamed El-Sayed, the first-team football midfielder for Zamalek SC, continued his rehabilitation training on the sidelines of today's Friday practice session, held at the secondary pitch of the Air Defense Stadium.
Zamalek is intensifying its preparations under head coach Moamen Soliman ahead of a crucial and tough match against ZED FC in the Egyptian League Cup tournament.
The Zamalek technical staff aims to maintain the fitness of all squad members through the match against ZED, while giving substitutes and young players an opportunity to prove their capabilities, in preparation for upcoming important commitments, most notably the league clash against Al-Ahly.
Progress in the fitness of Mohamed El-Sayed and Amr Nasser
Mohamed El-Sayed is suffering from a metatarsal injury, and the technical staff is striving to prepare him in the best possible way before he joins full team training sessions.
The players performed a physical conditioning segment at the start of today's practice, supervised by Portuguese fitness coach Nuno Costa Ribeiro. This segment began with running around the pitch, along with some light ball drills.
Furthermore, first-team striker Amr Nasser participated in part of today's Friday practice, held at the secondary pitch of the Air Defense Stadium, as part of preparations for the upcoming match against ZED in the Egypt Capital Cup tournament.
This was done within the framework of the program designed for the player to prepare him for participation in matches during the coming period, after he recovered from the muscle injury he had been suffering from.
Anticipated clash between Zamalek and ZED FC
Zamalek's first football team is preparing to face ZED on October 7th at the Arab Contractors Stadium, as part of the Egypt Capital Cup matches.
It has been decided to move the Zamalek vs. ZED match to the Arab Contractors Stadium instead of Cairo International Stadium, following the decision by the Egyptian Professional Clubs Committee to change the venue of the game.
The clubs committee had previously decided to bring forward the match time by 24 hours, scheduling it for Wednesday, October 7th, instead of the originally set date, as part of adjustments to the tournament schedule.
