An exciting comment from the Italian Minister of Sports regarding negotiations with Guardiola

Via Btolat

Italian Sports Minister Andrea Abodi criticized the decision to publicly disclose the federation's contact with Pep Guardiola to take charge of coaching the national team.

Abodi said in statements reported by the international "Tribuna" network about the leak of the Italian federation's talks with Pep Guardiola: "I don't know if Guardiola has studied the matter well".

He added: "When it comes to announcing an option like this, either you have reasonable confidence that the desired result can be achieved or it is better for the matter to remain confidential".

Abodi added about the talks with Guardiola to coach the Italian national team: "Announcing the matter publicly without certainty leads to unnecessary risks".

He continued: "The options seem very far apart to the extent that raising the issue without guaranteeing approval was an adventure, and adventure always leads to risks, so we need logical decisions and the team's performance on the field will be the decisive factor in the correctness of the decision or not".

Paolo Maldini and Leonardo, officials of the Italian Federation, had admitted contacting Guardiola, in addition to talking with Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazilian national team, to coach the Azzurri.
