Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported, citing journalist Leo Paradiso from the Argentine "ESPN" network, that sources close to Álvarez, his family, and his agent revealed their reaction to yesterday's statements.
It explained that Álvarez was not pleased with the timing of Atlético Madrid's statements two days before the World Cup final, as he and his entourage view that behavior as a major lack of respect and a biased move by the club.
