Alaa Mihoub, former star of Al-Ahly Club, commented on Al-Ahly's match against Smouha in the Egyptian Premier League, which took place on Thursday evening.
Al-Ahly secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Smouha in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.
Mihoub stated on "On Sport" channel: "There is a question mark over Al-Ahly's performance; there was no aggressiveness, and the players lacked aggression against Smouha, which is not good."
He added: "Al-Ahly plays in a traditional manner, everything is predictable. Al-Ahly's players must get used to the fact that all teams will face them with compact defenses."
He continued: "There must be skill and solutions, but these were absent. The entire style of play is understood and memorized."
He concluded: "There is no difference in Al-Ahly's first three matches under Amr Hamza (Amouta). He gives opportunities to players, and their level is visible and known. It is possible he has not yet reached the optimal lineup, so I cannot evaluate him."
