The management of Saudi club Al-Ittihad has settled its position on the departure of French player Moussa Diaby during the current summer transfer window, amid interest from Italian club Inter in signing him.
According to the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, Al-Ittihad Club does not intend to part with Moussa Diaby this summer, as the French winger is among the most committed and dedicated players in the "Al-Ameed" training camp currently held in Spain.
The newspaper added that the French player enjoys the confidence of the team's German coach Jens Wiese, and has a strong desire to deliver an outstanding season, similar to what he achieved in his first season wearing the "Al-Ameed" jersey.
Diaby managed to score two goals in the two friendly matches, indicating the potential for the 27-year-old to deliver a strong season with the western club.
Diaby had joined "Al-Ameed" in the summer of 2024, coming from English club Aston Villa, where he succeeded in winning the Saudi League and King's Cup titles in his first season.
The French professional participated in 71 matches for Al-Ittihad, scoring 11 goals and providing 31 assists across various local and continental competitions.
Al-Ittihad is set to compete in the Saudi League and King's Cup domestically next season, and will also participate in the AFC Champions League Elite, starting from the preliminary round.
