Ahmed El-Shenawy, goalkeeper of Pyramids FC, affirmed that he did not leave Zamalek due to any problems, but rather moved to the Sky Blues based on the offer they made during his injury period with the White Knights.

Ahmed El-Shenawy stated in remarks made via "On Sport FM": "Zamalek is my home; I played in their jersey for six years, won several trophies during one of the best periods of my career, and I am honored to be among Zamalek's players throughout its history."

The Pyramids goalkeeper added: "I left Zamalek after Pyramids submitted an offer to sign me while I was injured at the time. I joined Pyramids alongside Ali Gabr, Ahmed Tawfik, and Omar Gaber, and the club accepted the offer due to a financial crisis."

He continued: "Moving to Pyramids was not a gamble, because before signing, I reviewed the club's plan and vision for the future, most importantly competing for titles, which indeed materialized later."

He further said: "I was not wronged by not being included in Egypt's World Cup squad; the whole story boils down to the timing of God's reward. Everyone who works and strives with all their strength sees the results. Praise be to God, I won three trophies last season and the Best Goalkeeper title."

He added: "Jordache is a great coach who achieved trophies with the team, which will be credited to him. However, Pyramids is also a major club that competes for every trophy and has a group of players who are the best in Egypt."

He concluded: "Mokoena is a coach with a big name and a different philosophy. We are here to help him so that we all succeed, continue what we started with Jordache, and will be ready for the start of the league."
