Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim retires from football

Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim, the goalkeeper of Ismaily team, announced his permanent retirement from football, indicating that he is close to assuming a new position within Al Ahly Club.

Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim published several photos of himself from his career with Al Ahly Club and Ismaily, and commented on them saying: "In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.. Every beginning has an end, and today I announce my retirement from football as a player".

He added: "20 years in the Egyptian League were filled with struggle, hardship, dedication, and devotion.. During these years, God has blessed me with winning more than 24 titles with the great entity, Al Ahly Club".

He continued: "Throughout this journey, Al Ahly fans never abandoned me for a single day, and remained a support and backer for me, even when I was outside the club's walls.. Thank you, Al Ahly Club fans.. Thank you, Egypt fans".

He went on: "I will remain grateful to every coach, every official, and every fellow player who made this journey easier for me.. Thank you, the great Al Ahly Club.. Thank you, Misr Lel Makkasa Club.. Thank you, El Gouna Club.. Thank you, the historic Ismaily Club".

Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim concluded his statements by saying: "Thank you to my family for enduring the hardships of this journey, and for their support and backing of me at all times, and today, my journey as a player ends, and despite the difficulty of this decision, what makes it easier for me is that I am beginning a new journey inside my home.. Al Ahly Club".
