Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim, the former goalkeeper of Ismaili, Al Ahly, Al Gouna and Misr El-Maqassa, announced his retirement from football.

Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim retired after a long career during which he won 24 different titles.

Every beginning has an end, and today I announce my retirement from football as a player.
20 years in the Egyptian League were full of struggle, hardship, loyalty and dedication.
God blessed me, during these years, with winning more than 24 titles with the great entity, Al Ahly Club.
Throughout this journey, Al Ahly Club fans never abandoned me for a single day, and remained a support and backer for me, even when I was outside the club's walls.
Thank you, Al Ahly Club fans.
Thank you, Egypt fans.
And I will remain grateful to every coach, every official, and every fellow player who made this journey easier for me.

And today, my journey as a player ends, and despite the difficulty of this decision, what makes it easier for me is that I am starting a new journey inside my home, Al Ahly Club.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper played 226 matches in all competitions during his career, keeping a clean sheet in 81 matches and conceding 211 goals.
Ahmed Adel started in Al Ahly's youth and junior teams and progressed until the first team to which he was promoted in 2007.
The son of Adel Abdel Moneim, the former Al Ahly goalkeeper, continued wearing the red jersey until 2018.
He then left for Misr El-Maqassa for two seasons and then spent one season with Al Gouna.
He joined Ismaili in 2021 and remained with the team until the end of the past season.
