French club Paris Saint-Germain has come close to finalizing the signing deal with Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, player of Italian Parma, after submitting an official offer to the Italian club, following strong competition with another Italian club, Juventus.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a specialist in transfer news, Paris has submitted an offer totaling 33 million euros to sign Suzuki, in a move that has pushed the French club to the forefront of the race to secure his services.
Romano indicated that negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Parma will continue during this week, at a time when Suzuki has expressed openness to moving to the ranks of the French champions, which strengthens the chances of completing the deal in the coming days.
The Parisian club is currently working to reach a final agreement with Parma on all details of the deal, after taking the lead over Juventus, which submitted a lower financial offer.
Suzuki is 23 years old and caught attention during the 2025-2026 season, as well as shining with the Japan national team at the 2026 World Cup, which made him the focus of attention for a number of major European clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain sees the Japanese goalkeeper as a long-term investment, as the club looks to develop him and give him an important role in its future project.
