A source from Al Ahly Club revealed the truth about contracting with the Iraqi Peter Korkis, player of Duhok Iraqi Club.

A source from Al Ahly told FilGoal.com: "Al Ahly did not enter into negotiations to include the Iraqi Peter Korkis as rumored".
Duhok club president described the financial value of the deal as "good".
Korkis, 25 years old, is proficient in playing in the right winger position.
The Iraqi player joined Duhok in summer 2024 coming from Malmo Swedish.
Korkis played last season 31 matches in the Iraqi league and cup championships, scoring 19 goals during them, and made 4 goals.
He finished third in the Iraqi league top scorers table.
Korkis did not join the final Iraq national team squad for the 2026 World Cup which ended with occupying the 48th place.
The player born in Australia, holding Iraqi nationality, played throughout his career from juniors to the first team in the Swedish league before returning to Iraq through the Duhok gate.
Al Ahly had included the Enppi duo Ali Mahmoud and Oktay Abdullah during the summer transfer period.
Al Ahly also announced the Moroccan Hussein Ammouta taking over the coaching of the team starting from the new season.
