Imam Ashour's status regarding the ZED match
A source revealed in statements to "Yalla Kora" that Imam Ashour has been training normally, adding that Hossam El-Badry will decide on the player's inclusion in the ZED match squad on Thursday.
The source added that the final decision regarding Imam Ashour's presence in the ZED match squad will be made by the Moroccan coach, who wishes to utilize the player provided he is 100% fit.
Imam Ashour had missed participating in Al Ahly's preparatory friendly matches for the new season, as the Egyptian international suffered an injury while with his national team during the 2026 World Cup.
The 2026 World Cup edition saw Imam Ashour feature prominently with the Egyptian national team, where he scored two goals against Belgium in the group stage and against Australia in the Round of 32.
Rejected offers and Al-Ittihad Saudi Arabia's stance
