Media personality Ahmed Shoubir revealed the reason for the delay in concluding the deal for Al Ahly Al Mahalla during the current summer transfer window to bolster the first football team's squad.
"Shoubir" said on his radio program on On Sport Radio: "Al Ahly and Al Mahalla had reached an agreement, but Al Ahly requested to pay the amount in installments, which the other party refused."

He continued: "Ghazl El Mahalla Club is not rushing to sell the player because it believes Mahmoud Salah's price may rise and he may also join the senior national team."
Shoubir added: "Nevertheless, matters are very close, but the disagreement is only over some details separating Mahmoud Salah's transfer to Al Ahly's ranks."
Shoubir concluded his remarks: "The player refused to play in the friendly against Border Guards and was excluded, and Ghazl El Mahalla will decide either on the player's departure to Al Ahly, which is the closest option, or his staying with the team and imposing a penalty on him."
