One of the first-team football players of Pyramids FC suffered a serious injury during the ongoing match against Kenya's Gor Mahia in the CAF Champions League.
The match between Pyramids and Kenya's Gor Mahia is being held at Nyayo National Stadium in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, as the first leg of the preliminary round for the 2026–2027 African season.

Mahmoud Mara'i, a defender for Pyramids FC, sustained a severe injury following a collision with a striker from Kenya's Gor Mahia club, forcing him to leave the field in the 20th minute of the first half, replaced by Iyad Al-Asqalani.
The player was transported to one of the hospitals in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, for medical examination and X-rays to assess his head injury.
The current score indicates Pyramids' lead with a clean goal, scored by Moroccan player Walid El Karti in the fifth minute of the first half, following up on a shot by Mostafa Fathi.
