The UAE Pro League has apologized for hosting the Egyptian Super Cup, scheduled to take place next November, although the Egyptian Football Association's efforts are still ongoing.
The Egyptian Super Cup competitions are scheduled to be held from November 1st to November 8th, with the participation of four clubs.
UAE apologizes for not hosting the Egyptian Super Cup
A source told "Yalla Kora" that the UAE Pro League has apologized for hosting the Egyptian Super Cup, clarifying that the Egyptian Football Association's attempts to hold the tournament in the UAE are still underway.
The same source explained that the Egyptian Football Association's first choice is to hold the Super Cup in the UAE, and if this proves impossible, one of the Gulf countries is scheduled to host the next edition of the competition.
The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, indicated that the Egyptian Super Cup will be held in Egypt from November 1st to 8th if all previously mentioned negotiations fail.
Four clubs will participate in the upcoming edition of the Egyptian Super Cup: Zamalek, the Egyptian Premier League champions; Al-Masry, winners of the Pro League Cup; and Pyramids FC, holders of the Egypt Cup title. A fourth team will be invited via a golden card.
