Ahmed Shobir, media personality and former Al-Ahly goalkeeper, revealed the latest developments regarding the renewal of his son Mostafa's contract with the Red Fortress during the current period.

The current period is witnessing a state of tension and negotiation, as Al-Ahly Club seeks to renew the contracts of its three players: Mostafa Shobir, Yasser Ibrahim, and Tareh Mohamed Tareh.

Shobir said during his radio program this morning, Sunday: "Mostafa Shobir, two days ago, I swear to God, was coming down from the house and told me, 'I'm signing today.' Then the next day, he told me, 'I'm signing today' as well. That is what actually happened, but it seems something (is messing things up)."

He added: "The matter is almost settled regarding the renewal, and it will be finalized soon between Mostafa and Al-Ahly Club, just as the song says, 'Who do I have besides you?'"

He concluded: "And I will say it again, regarding Mostafa Shobir and Al-Ahly, who do I have besides you?"
