Media personality Ahmed Shubair revealed this Saturday evening the stance of his son, Mustafa Shubair, Al-Ahly FC's goalkeeper, and the Red Castle club's management regarding an offer from Italy's Como Club to sign him this summer.
Shubair stated in televised remarks on "Al-Nahar" channel: "Italy's Como Club has indeed sent an official offer to Al-Ahly Club to sign Mustafa Shubair, and Al-Ahly did not hesitate to respond with a rejection on the same day, stating that the player is not for sale."
He added: "There is an official letter from Italy's Como Club to Al-Ahly Club, and an official response or letter from Al-Ahly to Como, just to eliminate any doubt regarding this matter."
He continued: "Como did not request to sign Shubair on a loan basis, but rather requested a permanent transfer. To add more clarity, they confirmed they would guarantee the player a number of matches this season, though they did not specify the exact number. However, Al-Ahly has completely closed the matter, thus ending it for the goalkeeper."

He further added: "Mustafa Shubair has no financial dispute with Al-Ahly Club; meaning, whatever amount Al-Ahly Club states, he will not comment on it, and he has absolutely no issues regarding this matter."
He concluded: "There is no disagreement between Mustafa Shubair and Al-Ahly Club regarding financial matters, so no one should speculate on this point. I am speaking here about information I am 100% certain of."
