Al-Ahly Club continues its efforts to renew the contracts of four team players: Imam Ashour, Mostafa Shobeir, Mohamed Hany, and Yasser Ibrahim.
Al-Ahly had previously presented offers to the quartet before traveling to Spain for their pre-season training camp for the new season.
A source told FilGoal.com: "Al-Ahly held two meetings tonight, one with Mostafa Shobeir and another with Mohamed Hany's agent."
The source clarified: "Mostafa Shobeir requested the inclusion of a penalty clause in his contract, along with a two-year renewal, but Al-Ahly rejected his request."
He added: "Al-Ahly reiterated its previous offer, which is 25 million Egyptian pounds per season, plus an additional 10 million in bonuses, with some minor adjustments to the signing bonus."
The source indicated: "Mohamed Hany's agent met with Essam Serag, Al-Ahly's contracting director. There is convergence in viewpoints, and some modifications have been made regarding the signing bonus and privileges."
Meanwhile, Al-Ahly will hold a meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, with Imam Ashour in an attempt to renew his contract with the club.
Imam Ashour has been linked with leaving Al-Ahly during the summer transfer window after receiving several offers, notably from Turkish club Konyaspor and Saudi club Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
Imam Ashour missed Al-Ahly's match against Sharqia Enppi in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.
