Media personality Ahmed Shobier confirmed that Zamalek is facing a new crisis within its first football team, concerning Tunisian player Ahmed Gafali, noting that the White Fortress officials wish to sell him to any club interested in his services.

Gafali had arrived in Cairo late after the start of the Egyptian league and did not participate in Zamalek's pre-season preparations due to an issue with procedures related to the player's travel.

Shobier said in a statement via his radio program: "Ahmed Gafali has appeared at Zamalek. The player will undergo a medical examination, as there have been reports that he is suffering from an injury, and the team is not in a position to carry the burden of injuries and treatment."

He continued: "Zamalek hopes that any player is good so they can benefit from him. They are even considering starting with Abdullah Saeed, including him in the squad, as well as Hossam Ashraf, especially since Amr Nasser is suffering from many injuries and cannot establish himself as a starter."

He pointed out: "However, regarding Gafali, Zamalek reluctantly welcomed his return, instead of entering into a legal case and terminating his contract. But he returned injured, and the situation will become clear through the medical examination."

He concluded: "Zamalek hopes that any club requesting to buy Gafali will do so, but the player has no offers because he has not proven his worth, even when he was in Tunisia. However, it is possible for him to be a good player, as Zamalek and Al Ahly have often signed players with big names who did not succeed, and vice versa."
