Nice coach Olivier Pantaloni clarified the status of Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdelmonem regarding his participation in his team's match against Lorient in the French league at the Allianz Riviera stadium.
Nice will face Lorient in the first round of the new season of the French league, with several reports circulating about Mohamed Abdelmonem's status in supporting his team's defense next Saturday.
Speaking about Abdelmonem's status in remarks published by the French outlet "ici," Pantaloni said: "Mohamed Abdelmonem was the last to return from the World Cup."

He added regarding Abdelmonem's lack of full readiness for the match against Lorient: "We wanted to give him 45 minutes to play against Huddersfield Town, but that was not possible, so we will give him enough time."
It is worth noting that Mohamed Abdelmonem was part of the squad of Egyptian national team coach Hossam Hassan at the World Cup, and he played for some time before suffering an injury against Iran in the group stage, missing the matches against Australia and Argentina.
