Media reports discussed today the future of Jules Koundé, the star of Barcelona, who is considered among the most important players in the ranks of the Catalan team over the past years, and whom coach Hans Flick relies on primarily.
Koundé returned in recent days to Barcelona training, in preparation for the new season, following the end of his summer vacation and his participation with the French national team in the World Cup over the past two months.
The newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Koundé considers his fate with Barcelona unknown, as the player wants to know his role during the new season and the position in which he will play, and whether he will be a starter or a substitute.
The newspaper added that Koundé began to lose his starting position with Barcelona during the latter part of last season, and he now has several offers, although the player's intention is to continue with the Blaugrana, amid his contract with the Spanish club until June 2030.

It explained that Flick is now considering reinstating Koundé in his primary position as a center-back, in light of Ronald Araujo's departure on loan to Liverpool, with the German coach intending to rely on Eric Garcia as a right-back and using the young player Xavi Espart as a substitute in this position.
Mundo Deportivo added that Koundé has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal, and despite the player's important role in Flick's squad, Barcelona will not rule out selling the French international if an attractive offer arrives, as well as if Koundé himself wants to leave the Spanish club.
Koundé had been linked in particular with a move to Manchester City last summer, but the player renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2030 and the former Sevilla player expressed his desire to stay with the Blaugrana.
