The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has set the date for the draw for the Egyptian Premier League competitions for the new 2026-2027 season.
The official page of the Clubs Association published that tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, will be the date for the Egyptian League draw at exactly 3 pm.
The new 2026-2027 Egyptian Premier League season is scheduled to start on August 21, 2026, and end at the end of May 2027.
20 clubs are participating in the Egyptian Premier League this season, the trio of Abu Qir Fertilizers, Al-Qanah and Petroleum Assiut were promoted from the Professional League in the current season.

The Egyptian League this season will be held with the participation of 20 teams.
The Egyptian League this season is played in two stages, where the first stage is played in a single-round league system, in which all clubs meet each other, with each team playing 19 matches.
Then the clubs are divided into two groups (as a second stage).
The first group, which includes the teams competing for the title and the positions qualifying for continental championships from first to sixth place, each team plays 5 matches.
The second group includes from seventh to twentieth place, competing to stay in the league, each team plays 13 matches.
It is scheduled that 4 clubs will be relegated at the end of the season to the Second Division A (Professional League), only 3 will be promoted.
