Ahmed Hossam Mido, ex-star of Al-Zamalek and current media personality, has launched a scathing attack on Mahmoud Naji, the referee of the Al-Ahly vs. Sharqia Enppi match, which took place yesterday, Sunday, as part of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly secured a 3-2 victory over Sharqia Enppi in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League, in the match that brought the two teams together at the Cairo International Stadium.

Mido wrote on his official account on the "X" platform: "We are back to the Egyptian League and the provocative decisions for any football follower. A penalty kick born from the referee's imagination sends Al-Ahly back to the match!"
He added: "I saw it more than once... I tried to look for any push from the defender but couldn't find one, except that Ben Sharqi was looking for any touch to fall down, knowing that the referee would award a penalty!"
