Yaser Zabiri, a player for Racing Santander, won the La Liga Young Player of the Month award for September.

Zabiri competed against Pau Cubarsí (Barcelona defender), Alberto Moleiro (Villarreal player), Miguel Sierra (Sevilla player), and Yoel Lago (Celta Vigo player).

Zabiri managed to score 3 goals in September after playing 4 matches with Racing.

This is the first time Zabiri has won the La Liga Player of the Month award.

Zabiri is competing for the La Liga top scorer title, having reached a total of 6 goal contributions.

The Moroccan player joined Racing at the beginning of this season on a one-season loan from French club Rennes.

Zabiri is considered one of the best Moroccan talents recently, having contributed to the Atlas Lions winning the Youth World Cup last year.

Yaser Zabiri was born on February 23, 2005, in Marrakech. He began his football steps within the Mohammed VI Academy before moving to Union Touarga and appearing in the Moroccan league.

The Moroccan striker did not need much time to attract European attention, as he moved to Portuguese club Famalicão in August 2024 for €600,000.

Although he did not get significant playing time with the first team at the start of his European experience, his situation was different with the Morocco U-20 national team, where he became one of the most prominent strikers of his generation while wearing their jersey.

Zabiri scored 17 goals in 29 international matches for the Morocco U-20 team. He also participated in several continental and regional tournaments before reaching the peak of his career with the national team by winning the World Cup.
