Zamalek resumed its daily training session this evening, Wednesday, on the auxiliary field of the Air Defense Stadium.
The team had been granted a day of rest following their victory over Suez Petrojet in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Prior to the start of training, Motamed Gamal held a meeting with the players, urging them to temporarily set aside league matters and focus on the CAF Champions League.
He also explained several tactical instructions that would be implemented during the session.
Players who featured prominently in the match against Suez Petrojet underwent recovery drills during training to prevent fatigue.
Mohamed El-Sayed performed rehabilitation exercises on the sidelines after sustaining an ankle sprain during the Suez Petrojet match.
The coaching staff assigned intense physical training sessions to substitute players and those excluded from the Suez Petrojet match.
Zamalek is preparing to face AS Port Djibouti next Friday at Cairo International Stadium in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
