A source from Zamalek denied the news circulating regarding the Egyptian Football Association's Appeals Committee requesting Zamalek and Al Ahly player Ahmed Sayed "Zizo" to submit the required documents within a week.

The source told FilGoal.com: "There is no truth to the rumors over the past few hours that the Egyptian Football Association's Appeals Committee granted the club a one-week deadline to submit documents supporting the club's appeal against the Players' Affairs Committee's decision to archive the mutual complaints between the club and Zizo."
He added, "Zamalek is ready with all the papers and documents regarding this file, and our position is firm and clear. The club filed an appeal against the ruling in favor of the player in Zamalek's complaint against him, as the club believes it has rights with Zizo and insists on obtaining them."
He added, "If the Appeals Committee requests the documents, they will be submitted, but as of now, no documents have been requested from the club."
Zamalek and Zizo had filed complaints against each other, each claiming the right to receive dues from the other party.
The Egyptian Football Association's Players' Affairs Committee had notified both parties of the archiving of their complaints.
Zizo filed a complaint with the Football Association to claim his overdue dues from Zamalek.
Zamalek also filed a complaint against Zizo with the Football Association due to his absence from team training during his final period at the White Fortress.
Zizo left Zamalek at the end of the season before last and joined Al Ahly on a free transfer.
