Mohamed Shawky, the head coach of ZED, announced his team lineup for their first-ever continental match against Djiboutian club ASAS in the first preliminary round of the Confederation Cup.
The match will be held at Cairo International Stadium and kicks off at 8:00 PM.
This marks ZED's debut in the Confederation Cup, having qualified as runners-up of last season's Egypt Cup.
Ahmed Atef starts in attack, Mohamed Ibrahim in midfield, while Jordanian Wajdi Nabhan takes up the left-back position.
ZED's lineup was as follows
Goalkeeper: Ali Lotfi
Defense: Sameh Ibrahim - Abdullah Ahmed –– Moussa Mohamed - Wajdi Nabhan
Midfield: Mohamed Ezz –– Mohamed Ibrahim - Ahmed Saghiri
Attack: Marwan Hajjaj – Ahmed Atef – Walid Ali Farag
ASAS participates in the competition as last season's league runners-up.
The match will be officiated by a Libyan refereeing team led by Mohamed Aga, assisted by Monji Abu Shikwa, Bassem Saif Al-Nasf, and Abdelwahed Hairouida.
