Zamalek enters its opening match in the Egyptian Premier League today, Friday, against Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the first round of the tournament.
Zamalek head coach Maamoun Gamal is putting the final touches on the team's plan ahead of the Al-Ittihad Alexandria match, focusing during recent training sessions on settling on the most suitable lineup for the game, while also preparing the players to the required physical and technical standards at the start of the season.
Zamalek had played three friendly matches before facing Al-Ittihad Alexandria, against El-Plastic and Orange, winning both, and against Modern Sport, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
