A source revealed the first decision by Mazen Jamil, the head coach of Al-Zamalek Club, following their victory over AS Port in the opening match of the African Champions League last Friday.
According to the source, in a statement to Yalla Kora, Mazen Jamil refused to grant the players a break from team training after yesterday's win.
The source added that the team will continue training normally today in preparation for the match against Abu Qir Fertilizers next Tuesday in the league.
Al-Zamalek's first football team secured the first leg against Djibouti's AS Port with a 2-1 victory in the first preliminary round of the African Champions League.
The second leg between Al-Zamalek and the Djiboutian champion is scheduled for 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, also at the Cairo International Stadium.
If Al-Zamalek advances past the first preliminary round, they will qualify for the Round of 32 on their way to the group stage of the continental tournament.
The White Knight is seeking their sixth title in the history of the African Champions League, since their last triumph in 2002.
