The fate of Juan Pizerra, a player for Al-Zamalek, remains unclear amid his continued absence from the team in the current season.

The Brazilian player refused to return to Cairo to start the pre-season training camp before the start of the season due to his desire to transfer to UAE's Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai.

Maher Gharib, head of the media system at Al-Zamalek Club, said via dmc channel: "There is no specific date for Juan Pizerra's return to Egypt yet, and the situation remains as it is."

He added, "Al-Zamalek is sticking to its position and conditions, and there are no solutions other than what Al-Zamalek has announced, which is to return to Cairo first. Regardless of the player's stance, he is the biggest loser, despite the technical impact of his absence."

He emphasized, "Anyone who states that Pizerra will return within 48 hours or any other date is incorrect."

Maher Gharib concluded his statements, "There is continuous communication between Al-Zamalek and Pizerra's lawyer, but the player himself is not present for that; however, he is communicating with the players."

Al-Zamalek had previously rejected an offer from the UAE club, which led Pizerra to stick to his position and refuse to join the team.

Al-Zamalek has played four matches so far in the new season in the absence of the Brazilian Pizerra.
