National Bank of Egypt hosted Zamalek on Wednesday evening in a Round 2 fixture of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.

The crossbar saved Zamalek from conceding the opening goal when Yao Anwar fired a powerful shot from inside the penalty area in the 40th minute.
Substitute Chico Banza scored the winning goal for the White Castle in the 51st minute, shooting from inside the box before a National Bank of Egypt defender failed to clear it, inadvertently directing the ball into his own net.
In the 56th minute, Yao Anwar missed a chance to equalize for National Bank of Egypt, firing a left-footed shot from inside the penalty area over the bar.
Ahmed Yasser Rayyan also squandered an equalizing opportunity for National Bank of Egypt; he broke through one-on-one and shot, but Mahdi Soliman made a splendid save in the 62nd minute.
With this result, the White Knights' point tally rose to 4, placing them second in the Egyptian Premier League standings.
Meanwhile, National Bank of Egypt remains pointless, sitting in 19th place in the Premier League table.
The White Knights are scheduled to face Petrojet Suez next Monday in Round 3 of the Egyptian Premier League.
