A source confirmed that Al-Zamalek club is considering playing a friendly match after the team's upcoming match against El-Sweisi Petrojet, as part of the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The source added, in a statement to Yalla Kora, that Maamoun Gamal wants to prepare all players, especially the substitutes and those excluded, both technically and physically, to be well-prepared for the African Champions League match against Port of Djibouti.
Al-Zamalek will play this match as the opening of their campaign in the new season's African Champions League, after returning to the competition following their victory in the Premier League last season.
The match is scheduled to be the first leg of the first preliminary round, on Friday, September 4th, at 8:00 PM, at the Cairo Stadium.
Al-Zamalek had won their last match against Al-Bank Al-Ahly with a clean sheet of three goals, in the second round of the Premier League.
This victory is the team's first in the current season, after a goalless draw in their first league match against Al-Ittihad Al-Sekandari.
