The African Champions League tournament for the new 2026-2027 season is witnessing the participation of many strong clubs, in addition to the return of several teams to participate in the continental competition, most notably Zamalek Club.
Zamalek returns to participate in the continental tournament, after being absent from the last three editions, following its crowning as the Egyptian Premier League champion in the past season.
Pyramids Club also participates, after finishing as runner-up in the Egyptian League for the 2025-2026 season, and also winning the Egypt Cup title at the expense of Zed team.
Zamalek Club hopes to seize the title that has been absent from the White's treasury for 24 years, and win the tournament for the sixth time in its history.
In contrast, Pyramids hopes to win its second title in the Champions League, but the ambitions of the duo will collide with several competitors from the continent's big teams, whether from Tunisia, Morocco, or Algeria, in addition to clubs from South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola.
