Bahraini East Riffa Club officially announced its contract with former Zamalek player Zakaria El Wardi
El Wardi had previously joined Zamalek in the summer of 2022 in a free transfer deal after the end of his contract with Moroccan Raja Casablanca.
The 24-year-old El Wardi played 6 matches with Zamalek, including 3 in the Egyptian League, two in the African Champions League, in addition to the Super Cup match.
El Wardi participated in the Egyptian Super Cup match against Al-Ahly, which Zamalek lost 2-0, and caused the first goal for the Reds scored by Brazilian Bruno Savio.
El Wardi decided to leave Zamalek after only 3 months of joining the team to return to Raja's ranks again, and from there to Kuwaiti Al-Nasr, then Bahraini East Riffa.
