A source inside the Egyptian Football Association revealed that there is no desire on the part of Shawky Gharib, the technical director of the association, to lead the Olympic team in the coming period.
The source confirmed in his statements to Yallakora that Shawky Gharib wants to prepare a complete strategy for the national teams in the different age groups.
The source pointed out that there are many tasks on the table of the technical director of the association that must be completed.
And he continued: "Two tasks will not be assigned to Shawky Gharib at the same time in order to ensure the success of the system".
Shawky Gharib had assumed the leadership of the national teams in various age categories, and achieved many achievements, most notably winning the bronze medal in the World Youth Cup in 2001, and qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
