A source from Zamalek Club revealed on Friday that John Edward, the sports director of the White Club, sent an official warning through which he granted the club's management, headed by Hussein Labib, 15 days to resolve the crisis of overdue dues for the first team.

A source from Zamalek Club said in exclusive statements via "Yalla Koura" that Edward granted Zamalek's management a 15-day deadline to resolve the financial crisis and provide the necessary resources to pay the overdue dues to the players and the technical staff.

The source, who preferred not to be named, explained that John Edward warned against repeating the scenario of instability and players heading to terminate their contracts, and the sports director of the White Castle also confirmed that if financial liquidity is not provided, he will leave his position.

Zamalek team has not started its preparations for the new season, given that the players have not received their overdue dues, and the White Club has not definitively resolved the foreign technical director file.

Zamalek Club's management is currently trying to resolve the African license file in order to ensure official participation in the African Champions League competition for the 2026-2027 season.

Zamalek team had won the Egyptian League title in the past season, after a fierce struggle with Al-Ahly and Pyramids that extended until the last round.
