A source close to Mohamed Magdy Afsha, the Al Ahly midfielder, revealed the player's stance on continuing with the team during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Afsha had moved to Al Ittihad Alexandria on loan last January, before returning to Al Ahly after the end of the season, after delivering standout performances with the leader of the port.
Mystery currently surrounds Mohamed Magdy Afsha's future, amid growing speculation about his departure from Al Ahly and the possibility of his return to Al Ittihad Alexandria.
Afsha's position with Al Ahly
The source said in statements to "Yalla Koura": "So far, Afsha's position inside Al Ahly is unclear, and the player has not been informed whether he will leave or stay with the team in the new season."
Al Ittihad Alexandria's position
On the other hand, a source told "Yalla Koura" that Al Ittihad Alexandria is not considering bringing Afsha back yet and has not opened any lines of communication with the player.
The source explained that Al Ittihad succeeded in signing Ahmed Hamdy on a free transfer after his departure from Zamalek, and therefore the leader of the port is no longer in urgent need to sign Afsha during the current transfer window.
3 Arab offers for Afsha
The source confirmed that Mohamed Magdy Afsha received three external offers in the recent period and is waiting to settle his final position with Al Ahly before making his decision.
He added that the player has two offers from the Iraqi and Libyan leagues, in addition to an offer from the UAE league.
Afsha is expected to settle his future in the coming days, once his final position with Al Ahly becomes clear.
