A source within Al-Ahly Club revealed updates on the readiness of Imam Ashour, the Red Devils' midfielder, ahead of their match against Smouha in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly had missed Imam Ashour's services in the first two rounds against Sharqia Enppi and ZED due to lack of fitness following his recovery from injury.
A source at Al-Ahly told Yalla Kora: "There is a noticeable improvement in Imam Ashour's technical and physical condition, which was clearly evident after the team's friendly match against Delfi held today."
He added: "There is a tendency within Al-Ahly's technical staff, led by Hussein Amotta, to include Imam in the squad list starting from the upcoming match."
Al-Ahly will face Smouha in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League championship next Thursday.
