Al Ahly Club is considering dealing with National Bank of Egypt in the same manner as they dealt with ENPPI, should the club decide to negotiate for Mahmoud El-Gazzar.
Al Ahly included a confidentiality clause when signing Ali Mahmoud and Akotay Abdullah from ENPPI last summer.
The confidentiality clause prevents ENPPI officials from speaking to the media about financial details or anything related to the deal.
Al Ahly Club wishes to sign a new defender during the upcoming transfer window, given Amr El-Gazzar's anterior cruciate ligament tear.
Al Ahly has placed Mahmoud El-Gazzar, the National Bank of Egypt defender, at the top of their priorities to strengthen the defense, but the relationship between the two clubs may hinder this.
A source told Yallakora in exclusive comments: "Relations between Al Ahly and National Bank of Egypt administrations became tense after the Amr El-Gazzar deal and the disclosure of its financial details in the media last January."
He added: "There are voices within Al Ahly who believe that the need to purchase more than one player makes them reconsider not engaging in dealings."
The source clarified his statements: "Mahmoud El-Gazzar ranks first among the local defenders nominated to join Al Ahly."
He indicated: "If Al Ahly decides to negotiate to buy Mahmoud El-Gazzar, they will also request the purchase of midfielder Ali Hamdi."
He continued: "Al Ahly's offer will be with the same financial value, conditions, and contractual clauses used when signing the ENPPI duo Ali Mahmoud and Akotay Abdullah."
He concluded: "The final decision on this matter will be determined by Yassin Mansour and Sayed Abdel-Hafiz in mid-November."
Ali Hamdi plays as a central midfielder; he joined National Bank of Egypt at the beginning of the current season on a free transfer.
