Xavi Hernandez, the coach of the Netherlands national team, emphasized the importance of Virgil van Dijk, noting that the team captain deserves to celebrate reaching 100 international caps with the Oranje.

The Netherlands national team is preparing to face Serbia tomorrow, Sunday, as part of Matchday 4 in Group B.
Speaking about Van Dijk at the press conference, Xavi said: "It could be an emotional day for Virgil, and I am very happy to work with him; he is a true leader."
He continued, "Virgil deserves to reach 100 international caps; he belongs on this list. Playing 100 matches internationally is amazing."
Regarding the match against Serbia, he said: "We tried to recover well because there isn't much time; we played four matches in a very short period."
He concluded, "Perhaps it is extremely exhausting for the players, but this is the schedule."
The Netherlands national team occupies second place in Group B with 5 points, behind Greece, who lead with 7 points.
