Deco, Barcelona's sporting director, has left the door open for a new attacking deal in the final days of the transfer window.
Deco spoke about the state of the transfer market after Barcelona's friendly match against Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Wednesday evening, which the Blaugrana won 2-1.
An attacking deal on the horizon
On the attacking front, Deco clearly revealed the possibility of Barcelona re-entering the transfer market, despite having internal solutions.
He said, as reported by "Marca": "We have signed players in the forward line. Lewandowski's absence is difficult to replace, while Ferran's absence has been covered by Giron and Ademi."
He continued: "We have internal solutions, but I believe we will make a move. There is a lot of noise, but we are continuing to work."
A blow for Hamza Abdel Karim?
The sporting director's remarks open the door to a new move by Barcelona to finalize a striker deal in the final days of the market, especially given his admission of the difficulty in replacing the role played by Lewandowski.
Barcelona has been linked with Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, but the capital club is keen to keep its star.
This statement represents bad news for the promising Egyptian Hamza Abdel Karim, a forward for Barcelona B, who dreams of a chance to start for the first team in the new season.

Deco reassures regarding player registration
