Al-Ittihad club is close to a resounding surprise in the transfer market by transferring Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the former Liverpool star, to the Saudi league after negotiations for his transfer to Turkish Beşiktaş stalled.
Salah left Liverpool at the end of last season after spending 9 years at Anfield, with his name linked to several clubs in the Roshn League, most notably Al-Ittihad, in addition to Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, Al-Qadsiah, and Al-Diriyah.
The Turkish newspaper "Al-Sabah" revealed a new surprise after confirming that Mohamed Salah has already agreed to move to the Saudi Roshn League, specifically to Al-Ittihad club.
The newspaper explained that the Saudi club began negotiations with the Egyptian star last Thursday after negotiations for his transfer to Beşiktaş stalled in the current summer mercato.
Salah had reached advanced stages in negotiations with the Turkish club, but they stopped recently due to disagreements over some contractual terms, especially those related to his agent Rami Abbas.
"Al-Ameed" offered Salah an annual salary of $25 million, which is more than what Beşiktaş offered, and the Egyptian star agreed to it, with expectations that the contract signing will take place soon according to the newspaper.
It is worth noting that Salah has achieved many individual and collective accomplishments in his football career, especially with Liverpool, most notably winning the English Premier League title twice, and the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup once each.
