José Ribeiro, the technical director of Swedish club AIK, has received widespread praise following his success in bringing about a clear transformation within the team over the recent period.
Ribeiro, the former technical director of Al-Ahly Club, earned acclaim from both the team's fans and players, according to the South African newspaper Soccer Laduma, which focuses on the Spanish coach's career, noting his previous role with Orlando Pirates.

The 50-year-old Ribeiro has enjoyed growing popularity among AIK supporters, who expressed their appreciation for him during the Stockholm derby against Djurgården by raising a Galician flag in the stands—the region hailing from which the Spanish coach originates.
Although currently sitting in sixth place in the Swedish league table with 31 points from 18 rounds, reports indicate that Ribeiro has succeeded in extracting the best from a young squad of players. He has restored their confidence and implemented a clear playing style within the team, prompting several members to praise his significant impact.
Players' Confidence
Kevin Felling, a young player at AIK, praised the role Ribeiro plays in granting confidence to the team's players, especially emerging talents, enabling them to showcase their abilities.
Felling stated: "He gives all of us confidence, especially the young players trying to make their way into the first team... We have a young group, and this increases our cohesion... He brings out the best in us just by being himself."
The 17-year-old player added: "I'm not a psychologist, so I can't pinpoint exactly how he does it, but he succeeds in bringing out everything we have, which is why he is so popular among us."
For his part, Wilmer Olofsson, an AIK defender, confirmed that the team's players fully trust the Spanish coach, noting that he has provided the squad with considerable self-confidence and stability.
Olofsson said: "He helps us a lot... He gives us self-confidence and trusts us greatly... He also has his own ideas regarding the style of play, and it doesn't matter whether we start the match with the oldest lineup in the league or the youngest; we adhere to the same method and believe in it. We trust him blindly."
The Flag of Galicia
The report noted that signs of emotion were clearly evident in the gesture made by AIK fans when they raised the Galician flag during the derby match, revealing that it was the first time the coach had seen his region's flag displayed in the stands.
The Spanish coach said: "I was very moved when I saw it... I have seen the Spanish flag in the stands several times before, but this was the first time I've seen the flag of Galicia."
