Al Ahly Club announced the signing of Mahmoud Salah, the winger of Ghazl El Mahalla, yesterday evening, to continue its summer deals to strengthen its ranks in pursuit of regaining the Egyptian Premier League title.
Mahmoud Salah caught the eye with Ghazl El Mahalla last season, playing 29 matches across various competitions, during which he scored 4 goals and provided 3 decisive assists for his teammates.
The 18-year-old player scored a single goal in the first round of the league, which earned his team a draw against Zamalek.
The emerging winger shone strongly during the relegation group stage, contributing to saving Ghazl El Mahalla from dropping to the professional league.
Mahmoud Salah is considered an attacking "joker," having played in several positions with Ghazl El Mahalla last season, most notably right winger, left winger, and outright striker.
Mahmoud Salah signed for 5 seasons with Al Ahly, coming from Ghazl El Mahalla, after Essam Sarag El Din, head of the contracting sector, completed all financial and administrative procedures for the deal, in full coordination with Wael Gomaa, the director of football.
A source revealed to Yalla Koura the value of the deal, after Ghazl El Mahalla succeeded in agreeing with Al Ahly to receive 35 million pounds, in addition to 10 million pounds in privileges, as well as a 25% share of any future resale of the player.
