Saudi press reports revealed on Friday the stance of Al-Hilal duo Ollie Watkins and Gabriel Martinelli regarding their participation in the match against Al-Shabab, scheduled for this evening as part of the fifth round of the Saudi Roshn League.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadh," Simone Inzaghi, Al-Hilal's Italian head coach, decided during his tactical meeting for the Al-Shabab match to start with Watkins, while Martinelli will be placed on the bench.
Watkins had previously appeared as a substitute in the match against Al-Ahli a few days ago, scoring a goal in a game that the "Capital Blues" won 3-0, played on Tuesday evening at the "Kingdom Arena."
Meanwhile, Martinelli's transfer in recent hours, following his arrival from Arsenal, aims to bolster the capital club's attacking side.
Al-Hilal tops the standings of the Saudi Roshn League with 12 points, tied with Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah; however, "The Global Club" has played only four matches and awaits a tough encounter tomorrow evening, Saturday, against Al-Ittihad within the same round's fixtures.
On the other hand, Al-Qadsiah has played five matches and managed to defeat Al-Diriyah 2-0, securing their fourth victory.
