Wael Gomaa, the Director of Football at Al Ahly Club, spoke about his return to the Red Castle once again, revealing his happiness at returning after a previous period he spent either as a player or as Director of Football.
Al Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud El Khatib, had earlier announced the appointment of Wael Gomaa to the position of Director of Football, succeeding Walid Salah El Din, making "Gomaa" part of the new technical staff led by Moroccan Hussein Amouta.
Gomaa said, in statements during the press conference to introduce Amouta: "I am happy to return to Al Ahly Club, and my presence at Al Ahly Club was the best in my life".
He continued: "I am happy to return to my home that is priceless, and I thank the officials at Al Ahly Club for my presence at this time".
He added: "I present the best coach in Africa and the Middle East (referring here to Hussein Amouta), who possesses great capabilities and has succeeded in the places where he has worked".
Wael Gomaa concluded his statements: "Hussein Amouta possesses all the qualities that suit Al Ahly Club, and he will prove that, and we are happy to have him with us".
Hussein Amouta had been appointed to take up the position of technical director, as a replacement for the Dane Jess Thorup, who officially departed his post by agreement with the administration.
Amouta is expected to face many challenges, whether in the Egyptian League and Egypt Cup championships, in addition to the African Confederation Cup competitions.
