Rock Nation Sports International issued a strongly worded statement today, Sunday, amid reports linking Vinicius Junior to a move to English club Arsenal.
The statement called on journalists to show more "responsibility" and strongly criticized the "unprofessional and uninformed" behavior, while the statement did not specifically address the issue of Vinicius Junior's transfer.
Rock Nation president Michael Yormark posted on Instagram: "Rock Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idly by in the face of unprofessional and uninformed media outlets that publish misleading and offensive information aimed at drawing attention."
The statement added: "This is completely unacceptable, especially when it personally targets our clients without any basis. It is disturbing, harmful, and defamatory, and media outlets and journalists must take greater responsibility."
Alongside Vinicius Junior, the agency also represents Yan Diomande, who recently joined Real Madrid, Gabriel Martinelli, Endrick, and other prominent football players.
According to the English newspaper "Talk Sport," it is unclear whether Rock Nation is referring to Vinicius Junior and the circulating rumors about his departure from Real Madrid or not.
But it is certain that Madrid fans will try to connect the two matters, as the Brazilian player's name remains linked to Arsenal, the English Premier League champions.
Amid this ongoing stalemate, Arsenal is considering signing this brilliant winger, but negotiations between the clubs have not yet begun, and it is understood that Jose Mourinho wants to keep Vini Junior.
The report indicated that Vinicius's fate will continue with the ongoing summer transfer window and contract renewal negotiations, which have not yet been resolved.
