Cristiano Ronaldo's private jet has already departed for the Saudi capital, Riyadh, following the Portuguese national team captain's exit from his country's training camp, a development that sparked widespread questions ahead of the Nations League match against Norway.
Ronaldo had left the Portugal squad camp in anger, stating via his social media accounts that his decision came after coach Jorge Jesus's press conference and following a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.
The Portuguese star confirmed that he is waiting for the appropriate time to clarify the facts to the Portuguese public and explain the reasons that led him to leave the national team camp, without revealing further details at this stage.
The Portuguese international player is expected to arrive in the Saudi capital just before the start of the Portugal vs. Norway match, scheduled for this Sunday evening as part of the fourth round of the UEFA Nations League.
The match against Norway will be the second game played by the Portuguese national team since Ronaldo left the camp, after the team successfully won against Denmark 4-2 last Thursday.
