Valverde settles his position on leaving Real Madrid

The Uruguayan Federico Valverde has settled his position regarding leaving Real Madrid, after doubts recently surrounded his future with the royal club.

According to media reports, Valverde is determined to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu, despite several clubs making inquiries during the current transfer window about the possibility of signing him.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid received several official inquiries and contacts from external clubs in recent hours regarding the terms of a deal for Valverde.

Despite the significance of the offers, Valverde himself moved to close the door on any potential negotiations, as the player has no intention of starting a new chapter during the current transfer window and is committed to continuing his career with Real Madrid.

Marca had noted last May that several clubs, including Premier League sides as well as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, were monitoring the player’s situation, but it also confirmed that Valverde was not pushing to leave Real Madrid.

Valverde’s contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2029, following its renewal in November 2023.
