Oksal Yavuz, a journalist for the website "61saat," praised Trabzonspor star Mohamed Salah following his outstanding performance in his team's match against Başakşehir yesterday Sunday, within the Turkish Super League competitions.
Mohamed Salah officially established his credentials with Trabzon, scoring two goals and contributing to his team's 2-1 victory over Başakşehir in the second round of the Turkish league.
In his article, Oksal Yavuz criticized the refereeing of yesterday's match, which disallowed two goals scored by Mohamed Salah; the first was ruled out for a foul, and the second for offside.
Yavuz pointed out that the referee nearly caused Trabzon to lose two points due to his strange decisions yesterday, while he could not stop Mohamed Salah, who played brilliantly.

Yavuz said: "During stoppage time of the second half, the match referee disallowed the magnificent goal scored by the global star and man of the night, Mohamed Salah, from a very long-range shot—so impressive that even the postman would have paused momentarily to watch it—citing offside. Not only did he fail to draw the goal line to review the play, but he truly harmed Trabzonspor fans."
He added: "To Trabzon fans, you still must thank God, first for Mohamed Salah, and then for Trabzonspor. Mohamed Salah scored two goals, and the team did not lose any points. As for those of you who say that Salah came to Turkey just to relax and enjoy himself, did you watch the Mohamed Salah whom referees were unable to stop? Did you see his wonderful passes, which are like silk?"
He clarified: "Watching Mohamed Salah is truly enjoyable; it makes me feel reassured, as if you are watching the most beautiful sight in the world. Now, Trabzonspor fans, who were extremely happy when they heard about signing Mohamed Salah and welcomed him, must once again say 'Praise be to God' after witnessing his performance yesterday and what he delivered for the team."
He concluded: "Thanks must also be extended to the president of Trabzon, Ertuğrul Doğan, and his administration for their capability in bringing this star to Turkish football."
Mohamed Salah is now preparing with his Trabzon teammates for a crucial match next Thursday against Ferencváros, in the return leg of the Europa League playoff.
